Le Mans 2 hr in Ferraris
Who is up for a one time event where we do roughly 25 - 30 laps of Le Mans in Ferraris. I have been doing the seasonal Ferrari challenge (not the F1) on Le Mans for a couple of weeks now and think that we could possibly to get most of them to be quite competitive. Any suggestions would be considered. BHP and PP have not been decided yet, but its looking like they can be around the 750 - 800 BHP mark. Need to do some more testing. Let us know what you think.

Thanks the cars don't all need to be the same BHP/PP just need to get them lapping roughly the same times.

Rinkly I recently got a new combo wireless N1+ router/modem had a similar problem and the moment I hooked them up wired, then removed the wired connection they would connect wirelessly. Don't ask me why can not explain, and not sure if this is possible for you or will work if it is.
PS: I always connect with lan cable when racing online, never wireless, other games I am happy to play wirelessly but never GT5 or Forza 3.

Back on topic, if being raced on the right night would definately race in this event.

For all who are interested let us know what nights you prefer and which Ferrari you would like to drive. Nominating a car doesn't necessarily mean you will have that car, the idea of this is to see the different selections we get. (don't want to see all Enzos)
I was also thinking of handicapping this race. Faster guys start a couple of minutes after the slower ones, its a long race and I'm sure they will eventually catch us slower guys. Just a suggestion. Does anyone have any ideas how we can work out how to make this possible. I roughly know who is fast and who are the slower guys so there won't be any sandbagging as such.
I also have a few more enduro races with particular cars in mind, just want to see the interest in this before I let the cat out of the bag.

Re: Le Mans 2 hr in Ferraris
Sounds like fun. I think the Enzo should be banned... It's just a monster.
The rest of them are pretty evenly matched.
I did the Le Sarthe seasonal a few times tonight, managed to beat the Enzo's in my F430 '06... Just. Think I managed an 8 second win once, but I had to cut a couple of corners to do it.
My vote for car would be the F430 '06.. neat car and handles ok. Mine's set at 609 BHP, much more and I think it would be a pain in the ******.
As for night, the WP league starts again this Sunday, and I'm out on Wednesdays. Any other weeknight (apart from the mini challenge) is good for me.

What about using a ballast handicap or similar?
There's not actually very many Ferrari's to choose from once you take out the everything above the Enzo (Formula's F7 F10 and 330 P4 Race car '67).
I'll nominate the F40 '92.
Ferrari's In order of stock PP:
- 458 Italia '09
- 430 Scuderia '07
- 599 '06
- F430 '06
- SP1 '08 (pretty much a repeat with a very slightly different body)
- F40 '92
- California '08 (rubbish, looks marginally better with the hard top it gets when you add a rear wing)
- 512BB '76

Koastr, we could put you in a Ferrari badged shopping trolley and you'd still kick our butts ... lol.
Thanks for the list of available fezza's, should make it a bit easier to choose.

Re: Le Mans 2 hr in Ferraris
Thanks for the feedback guys. I have done a little testing lastnight and was thinking that the maximum PP should be 600 and minimum weight be 1100kg. This is not set in stone as I want to hear back from anon or anyone else who wants to add their 5 cents worth.
Haven't tested all cars as yet but am thinking that the Enzo wont be banned just maybe not let the faster guys drive it. We wont be racing for sheepstations just a filler in and some competitive racing. What I do want to know is how you all feel about the start. Will a handicapped start work? How do we do this to make it fair to all concerned.
I am happy with the feedback so far, so don't be affraid to put your opinions out there as all will be appreciated. I want to make this event a fun for all.

Handicapped start.. I already have that... Cross-eyed... And I dribble a bit LMAO
I just bought a 458 Itallia, oooeeeee, what fun. 589 PP / 632 BHP and it goes like stink. Think I'm with Rinkles, much more fun to drive than the F430

Re: Le Mans 2 hr in Ferraris
Looks good Whacked. Most of what I looked at tonight didn't go below 1200kg, could leave it at that. Go 27 laps just to be difficult.
The enzo and 458 are sweet cars. Just get everyone interested to put their name down and lets run. Single lap quali, if that, and just spend our time racing. 2 Hrs...next Monday night, practice and qual starts at 8pm and race kicks off at 8.30pm. Gives me a race next Monday. As for what car I'll run, you pick,(but I don't really want the 512, F40, 458, 430, SP1, 599, or enzo). And I don't really like the California.
As for keeping it competitive...there maybe a different way...

Re: Le Mans 2 hr in Ferraris
why 27 laps that's not 2hrs
30 laps would be near 2hrs ,but then im cpt slow.

It's whacks baby, so whatever he wants to run we'll do. I was just splitting the difference between 25 & 30 from his earlier post. I'll need to do about 15 pitstops for tyres don't forget.
