HOT LAP COMP #4

Ok, a new month is upon us, time for a new Hot Lap Comp.

Something a bit different this month. There will be a prize/prizes, I'll have to discuss this with the boss and get back to you with the results of the chat.

I have put an RX-7 LM Race car on my shared cars list.
I know, it's only a Standard car (sorry to those that use in-car view), but it looks cool, and I've been doing a bit of RX-7 racing lately...lol

The track for this is Suzuka.

Edit... (For those that haven't tried to before) To borrow the car, click on my name on the Profile tab, then move the cursor onto the car. Click that, and a screen will appear that asks you if you want to borrow it. Just like selecting a car in your garage.

I have played with the settings a bit, I think it handles pretty decent.
526 Bhp, 1080 Kgs, Racing Hard tyres.

I'll have to run some laps near the end, I can't use it while I'm sharing it

Comp will finish on Monday, 28th March.

Perhaps I will pick up some tuning tips from what you have done with this car.
Will definately run a few laps by the end of the weekend.

The only time I can use it is between now and the 27th of March, guess that leaves you Monday the 28th to put a time down Stumbles...hehehe.

If the car goes missing from the share list, it will be me doing some laps. Won't be missing for long.

Well Stumbles I really liked the car I gave it about 4 laps and improved every lap. I also noticed that the aero was all the way up both back and front, we can also adjust that just can't add anything to it. I will give it another go tomorrow or later tonight with some minor adjustments providing that is in the rules. Is it?

@ Stumbles you can't win your own comp So if you break the 2 minute mark first the prize offer is still open. Sorry Stumbles.

That was the plan until patch 1.08 came along and now every time i borrow the car i get to the chicane before the start/finish line and the game locks up, tried 4 or 5 times now and it dose the same thing every time.

Tried other cars on the same track, finished the new Seasonal Events and now running remote b-spec races and all is good, so don't know what the problem could be, might try again later on.

Ahh, I wonder if it's because I'm sharing the car and I don't have 1.08 yet. I'll get it now.

Don't know if you have 1.08 yet but it's still locking up.

Maybe remove car from shared list, reboot the PS3 then put car back on shared list, see if that works.

Ok, I got the patch, so I'll just reset the garage and PS3.

Jusy booting up again now, will have the RX-7 back on the list as soon as it loads.

Ahhhhh, it's Friday...why aren't you guys drinking?? HL'ing is for any day, except Fridays. Who wants a scotch?

If I have a drink now, I'll fall asleep at the wheel...lol
