Reserved for Details Event 2 11/05/2011 - 20/05/2011
Was going to have a Corvette ZR1 and Dodge Viper hotlap showdown with pretuned cars on my shared car list but since that can not be done with PSN still down, will just look at the following.
Corvette ZR1 RM fully speced out after RM'ing on the Tokyo track.

Cool. Well done Arckon. Gives me something to do now. I just can't get into the Single Player events... (could do with the XP though, been stuck on Lvl 32 for ages).
Now, do I go for speed or grip... and stay under the 515 PP???

Well the good thing about this 1st event is you can keep changing your build as many times as you like whilst staying at or below the 515PP.
Hint: The 2nd hotlap event for May is going to be a one build only event, so will be more critical to consider the track and how to build the car based on the parameters set out for the event.

Part of the reason I chose the TVR, they can not be a straitforward build for many to get the best out of. Trying to throw up a bit of a challenge for May or though I doubt it will phase any of our Top Drivers (although I considered yourself Anon as one of these drivers so perhaps my choice has been more successful than I planned).

Would be great to see some of our recently joined members to take part in this as a way to introduce yourselves to the forum and hopefully go on to take part in our next upcoming Monday Night sanctioned event starting very soon.

Your guess is as good as mine, I am sure the Admins and Moderators have it organised, but I don't think they are quite ready to let us all know yet. (Testing to do for car parity etc, etc, would be my guess).

Re: HotLap May
I'll give this a shot. Just need more info.
What tyres are we doing the hotlap on?
With the 515PP limit are we using the power limiter?
As a track like autum ring would benefit from torque so most people will just max tune the cars to have maximum torque then use the power limiter to drop it down to 515PP while retaining the torque.
As this is my first time giving your hotlap series a go i'd prefer avoiding any loop holes but if this is what everyone is doing then at least we all know what's happening.

All will be revealed next week...
And Oni, I think you can do to the car whatever you wish as long as it's 515PP, but I reckon Arckon will get back to you on this before the day is out.

Re: HotLap May
Hey Oni,
you can set up, adjust the car however you like to achieve the best result you can as long as the PP is only 515.
My guess would be majority would be using racing soft tyre again choice is yours.
With 3 events throughout the month and points from each event, I am looking at some events being very open ended so you have as much freedom as possible and some will be slightly more rigid in the conditions set for them.
The ultimately goal is to have maximum fun within the competitive environment.

Anon 1:17.703 (DL and ABS 1)
Stumbles 1:17.839
Whacked 1:21.604

Add these to the list please Arckon.
BTW Oni, I tried nearly every possible way of building this car and all were within a few hundreths. It would be interesting to see what people did anyway.

Re: HotLap May
No, and yes....I ran a flash event last night, it was in the inter-season thread. You still have until the 10/05/11 to put some laps in Fiddles. Just wanted to organise something seeing as we couldn't race.
