Seasonal Events Empty Seasonal Events

Post by Paul Sun Jan 16, 2011 7:57 am

Just drove the Mitsubishi i-Miev around Deep Forrest Raceway and OMG what a high pitched sound that thing makes. My missus came in the room while I was driving it and she was going WTF? Can't describe what it really sounds like other than the kettle has boiled. Not normal, wonder how many of them Mitsubishi have sold.

Seasonal Events Empty Re: Seasonal Events

Post by Stumbles Sun Jan 16, 2011 9:57 am

hehe. I gotta go grab one for the seasonal event. Those events are easy money and XP now. I find myself only upgrading the tyres and maybe an exhaust, then doing the race otherwise you get the win too easy.

Just going slightly off topic...

I did the FGT championship last night. Thank god that's over. I did the first 4 races and was falling asleep, so switched the tv off but left the console on and jumped into bed.... Only to realize that my console is set to shut-down after a couple of hours without any use.

Got up again, sat there in my jocks and did race 5 (Monza). Got to the grid and it was raining. I put intermediates on and started the race. Was like a smash-up derby, the AI are hopeless in the rain. My car got damaged and thought I'd lost my opportunity to win. All of the AI went into the pit for tyres and I cruised on past to win easily... albeit with a few adventures into the kitty-litter. That gave me a 160 point lead in the championship, started the Suzuka race (in really heavy rain), then quit out and won the prize.

A bit disappointing.. Caterham 7... at least we have a motorbike-engined car in the game...lol. Could be fun to drive... 139 Hp but only 350 Kgs.

The FGT is the only one I haven't done in the extreme events. It may just stay that way too. 120 laps in one sitting, holy crap! Which is why I'll never do the enduro's sadly. I'll leave that to you Rinkles!!

Bit of a kick in the balls, how many hours of racing to end up with a Caterham 7?

Was about 30 - 40 mins a race, makes it about 3.5 hours with load screens inbetween... I didn't race the last one.

When does Bonus race 3 end, these 12 hour shifts are killing me. I get up, go to work, come home to sleep, then do it all again Sad

Tomorrow. Know how you feel Stumbles. I just do my 12 between 7am and 7pm. New guy starts in 12 days. Not that I'm counting....

Worth doing race 3,4,5. The first 2 are low prize money.

Thanks Anon.

Paul, I think we get a new one each week, but they last for 2 weeks each, so they overlap. Can't say for sure though, havent turned it on since Sunday.

New seasonal events up today. First one is quite interesting. Since the update these are too easy getting a win on first attempt, i think I liked them when there was restrictions you had to work for your credits. Now its just easy credits

Anyone wanna lend me a schmimmmennwwagggiiiinnnn. I can honestly say I don't want to own one, but if someone loaded has one in the garage, I'd borrow it for the event and gift it back straight after the race.

The lender can also request a "reasonably priced" vehicle and I'll supply that as rent payment...lol

No worries Anon.

These new seasonals are too easy now. Just finished the 4th set, Volvo around Grand Valley.
I only put sorts soft tyres on and a race transmission... won by 30 seconds. Had the lead before the end of the second lap and started just mucking around and kept stretching the lead.

Went and bought the BMW M3 race car for the Nurburg seasonal event.
Cost = $980,000, did an oil change and won the race first go. $1.1 Million profit....lol. A challenge too, passed first place going up the back straight just before the chicane.... 1.7 seconds in the end.

Already sent my one car for the day apparently. Tried to send a car before and wouldn't let me. Weird cause I sent one last night around 10, maybe earlier. Well before midnight anyway. Maybe a glitch. Can send you one tomorrow.
