Season 3: OZGT500
OK, so for season 3 we have the OZGT500 - Flying Ricers!
Cars:
Honda NSX vs Nissan GT-R. We will be using GT500 race cars from the dealership. Your options are -
Honda
NSX ARTA Super GT '06
NSX Takata Dome Super GT '06
NSX Raybrig Super GT '06
Nissan
GT-R Xanavi Nismo Super GT '08
GT-R Yellow Hat YMS Tomica Super GT '08
GT-R Calsonic Impul Super GT '08
GT-R Motul Autech Super GT '08
It would be ideal if we can get a good spread of cars in the field, so I would prefer people to register interest and put down which car they want/have to use. If we end up with 7 people wanting the same car, then admin will look to even the field out and assign cars. How will this be done? Not sure yet, but most likely it will be random. These cars are very different and have different strengths and weaknesses, and I'm sure racing over different tracks will prove this. Personally, I've got no preference and will pick after everyone else. When set up as described below, they are very evenly matched from the limited testing I've done.
The set-up is...well, dead easy. For the NSX's, do an oil change, add rigidity improvement and racing soft tyres. Then tune it however you desire. For the GT-R's, do the same but you will also need to adjust the settings to keep the car under 600PP. (EDIT: We are a very trustworthy bunch, but if you are thinking about sticking on a turbo or engine upgrade and winding back the power to try and gain an advantage - go for it. But just remember replays will be saved, and those who have cheated will lose all points for the race and season. When you add the turbo stage 2 or 3, a turbo gauge appears at the bottom right of your screen, and when you add the stage 3 engine upgrade your red-line changes, so we will know.)
Schedule:
The season will start on Monday, June the 6th at Suzuka. Races will start at 9pm, lobbies open at 8.30pm.
Race 1. Suzuka 15 laps.
Race 2. Tokyo 17 laps
Race 3. Circuit de la Sarthe 2009 (Time) 13 Laps
Race 4. Tsukuba 29 Laps
Race 5. Fuji 17 Laps
Race 6. Nurburgring Nordschleife 7 Laps
Most races will be around 30mins, which is why there are so many tba's - need to work it out. The enduro's will be between 45-60 minutes, again I'll run some laps and figure out the number of laps for those over the next few weeks.
Points and Prizes:
The points system will be a clone of season 2, that seemed to work well.
1st = 20, 2nd = 14, 3rd = 10, 4th = 8, 5th = 6, 6th = 5, 7th = 4, 8th = 3, 9th = 2, 10th = 1. 2 Bonus points for fastest qualifier.
Grinding and trade limiting has made prizes a bit obsolete. But I'll try and keep it interesting. Each round will have prizes similar to last season. I'm hoping Arckon can handle this task again. They will win ticket 1000's and chrome paints.
The overall winner will get 3 cars and a lvl 21 car ticket. 2nd will get 2 cars and a lvl 17 car ticket. 3rd one car and a lvl 12 car ticket. The winners can pick any tradeable car from my garage. It's not a bad selection, I'm only missing 15.
Oh yeah, I've quickly smashed out a promo vid. Might put it up on a few sites and try and fill up the field a little.
Now don't just sit there, sign up!!
So far we have:
Stumbes - Xanavi Nismo GT-R.
Whacked - GT-R Motul Autech Super GT
Darko - HONDA Takata Dome NSX '06
Rinkles - Yellowhat GTR 08

Arckon - Raybrig NSX
Fiddles - (if he can run) Arta NSX '06

All in the new car dealership mate the NSX's, GT-R's & SC430's are 950,000 credits and if Anon lets all the cars I've mentioned that are Super GT cars then the Toyota's are 900,000 credits but the Toyota's don't have as much BHP but weigh less than the NSX's, GT-R's & SC430's

Yeah Aza, has been discussed. Kept it to the 2 cars to have a Nissan V Honda series.
I haven't decided which car I'll use yet, will make a decision soon.

Re: Season 3: OZGT500
no probs mate I'll stick with the Calsonic Impul GT-R then mate if it happens we get to many of the same cars can I stick to the Calsonic cause I just bought it for this series I've done all the upgrades to it that I'm aloud to do and I don't have enough credits to buy another one thats all and it means I don't have to sit through one of the long enduro or redo a heap of the other races to get enough credits to buy another one cause racing by yourself offline is really boring it would be greatly appreciated

Like he said! From the testing I've done, these are the most closely matched cars with the simplest set-up.
If we need to change cars for people, I'll send you a new one. You won't need to grind (I've got a rubber band for that!!).
Rinkles, do you mind if I send you a new one of those tonight or tomorrow with the right set up, tyres etc, but without the engine upgrade just to keep everything to reg's, and so you don't need to be buying another one.

I may have missed it Aza (I'm getting old... it happens...lol), but I believe the season doesn't get under way until the 6th of June... not tonight.
I'll probably be on for some testing tonight if you want to join me though (already have you on my friends list). Going to give the Tamora a run tonight for a bit too, need some practice before the Autumn Ring race on Sunday night.

Ok, I'll go with the Xanavi Nismo GT-R.
Was going to go with the Arta NSX, but that thing is damn twitchy... especially with a DS3 controller.
