Season 3: OZGT500

Can someone please tell me where i finished as i could only see Stumbles, Chevwah and Anon in my race.

Stu and Darko broke into the 52's but Nieshy takes fastest lap with a 3:51.3!


Yea the last sector seemed to be where I was able to pull away. I really tried to push this advantage to break the slip-stream barrier. Wow that was hard to do, especially with a couple of guys following able to sling-shot off each other they could just eat up a 3 second advantage. The first few laps were intense.

Those NSX's are just about unbeatable in the straights but perhaps have a little less grip through the apex's for a given PP (I know from driving the Raybrig in the GTLOZ series).

Chev's rear end was pretty beat up. Only one of the two tail lights was working towards the end of the replay and they're already pretty small, so no wonder he was hard to see!

That was a great race. Hope to check out the replay later in the week. Well done to the top guys, it's a pity we had issues with invisible cars and Whacked not being able to join. This will be the first ever OZGT event without the mighty Whacked Burzum (I think??).

From a personal point of view the wife has reminded me I'm not 21 anymore, so next year it will be a very low key birthday. I don't think I was legally able to drive till this morning...maybe lunch, but it's all good. Sorry if I caused any prob's, but will be as sober as a judge next week I promise.

Yer Darko got me a few time not just in corners but along the straight. I had a feeling he couldn't see me so i made my passes carefully but he just pulled over into my side on the long straits and just when i thought i had a break on him to get away from it, he would get me in the corners. Most of the time i ran off the track was my own fault though. I know it wasn't your fault darko just made the race a bit crappy. Still had some good battles and a few stubbies drank along the long straights

Sounds like you all had fun. I tried to get in for a whole half hour, got in once set my car up and got kicked, after that I couldn't get passed the loading screen. I actually tuned my car for that track as its one of my favourites. I have been having issues with PSN since it has come back, hopefully I can see you all next week.

Don't mean to be a pain, but again as I could only see 4 other people during the race I didn't bother saving the replay.
SOoooo again if someone can send me the replay (am more than happy to do the work of watching it to work out the prizes) or confirm who would win this weeks prizes.

Haha awesome. I saw this in the online garage and thought about getting it because I used to have one! Well sort of, mine was only a '71 1300cc not the GSR. But looks the same, even the same colour except maybe mine had beige vinyl on the roof and pillars. Picked it up for $350, drove it for a couple of years at uni, got tee-boned, straightened it out a bit with a hammer and some wood then sold it for $400!

I didn't buy it since I already have the rally version in GT5 but I'll grab it now!
P.S it looks like the max PP is the same for both versions, could we use either or?

yeah you can use the rally variant if u like it does put out like 20hp more i think but in turn you do have like an extra 100kg should be even with boost neways

Looks good Stu. Koaster, you're such a tight-arse!!!!! Wing optional....you mean it's a must have. With this much power we are gonna need downforce!! I'm thinking mine will look good in gold! Pity we can't paint the rims.

fully modded its only got 250hp i think, looks heaps better without it and if you put i on you will be classed as a ricer

I’ll have a look tonight, i got plenty of money and last time i copy duped i nearly deleted my data thinking i had already copied it. Lucky i went and checked before i deleted.

Haha lol I will buy the standard one too but I wanted to stand out with a different livery, add some variation to the field!

I think the rally variant is pretty basic in terms of power mods and will need money spent too.

Yea Stu you're right, according to the 'my granturismo' site the full spec rally variant has a bit tiny more BHP but also more weight so evens out to same PP.

I'm off to buy a new fucken router tonight I think that is the problem. Oh yes I am pissed had some (many) beers after work. Yiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!

i will be there been busy this w/e out driving/havin fun .... went on a cruise and raced a modded BMW M3 1995 (dunno bout the year model) and beat it by about 4 car lengths

Ok, thanks to Stumbles for sending me the replay of the Tsukuba event.

This weeks winners of the TICKET and CHROME are:

TICKET: this was originally going to (being such a tight small track) the first person to swear. Since voice is now disabled, on the fly before viewing the replay, I decided it would be a lap time base on a dice roll on Lap 5.
The dice rolled a 2 so the 2nd fastest lap time on Lap 5 would win the ticket.
CHROME: First clean overtake after Lap 5.

TICKET: Nos_Bonus_888 (only second fastest lap, must have forgotten to hit that NOS switch).
CHROME: Nos_Bonus_888.

Well done Nos you have won the quinella, will have the ticket and chrome sent to you by the end of the weekend.

If any of you guys can inform me of the 1st and last car to pit at the LeMan's event I can organise the mystery prizes for that event as well.

Thanks heaps Arcon Wow, i had a couple of ordanary rounds the last 2, these mistery prizes make me feel a bit more of a winner lol. I think i may have been first to pit on lap 9 but it was totaly unintentional, went off track and coming back on i thought there was a car coming so i shot accross to the other side to give em room and the pit lane locked me in.

I just watched the LeMans race. NOS_Neishy was indeed the first car to pit (end of lap 6), followed by Stumbles, Chev, Stu, Bonus, Anon and Aza all at the end of lap 7.
Holden Boy was next at the end of lap 8 followed closely by Darko, who was the last person to pit. Koastr, Rinkly and Arckon did the entire race without a pit-stop.

Will try and find time to get the results up over the next few days. Work is flat out atm, and my weekends are chocka with renovations, parties, and general nagging. If someone has had the foresight to take a screen shot of the results from the last 2 races, that would be a great help.
